I have known Daniel all his life. He was raised from a young child with animals from cats, dogs to chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs to lizards. He was born in Hawaii and regularly ran barefoot on the beaches there trying to catch crabs, chase our dogs and swim in the oceans. As a family, we made numerous community efforts to 'clean' the beaches of trash that might endanger the ocean wildlife. So from a young boy he was taught to care for not only our animals but also our planet. As he grew and could take on more responsibilities, he would take our part shepherd for walks, feed and water her and rinse her after a day at the beach.
When we moved to the mainland, as a highschooler, he became a counselor at a YMCA camp where his interests expanded to larger animals like horses. He learned to ride, care for and train young campers how to handle, care for the horses onsite. He was one of a few who were given this privilege due to his responsible nature and natural care and love for animals. He worked on a dairy farm 5 days a week, feeding and caring for cows and other farm animals.
Now as an adult who has encountered some significant challenges of his own, he still enjoys the company and care for the animals in his own household. I have seen his care and love grow through these 40 years and would recommend him for your fur baby whether small or large, cat or dog or farm animals

My name is Dan and for the past 37 years I've been caring for pets and livestock. From raising rabbits and Guinea pigs when I was 4 to the 8 dogs I've had the pleasure to parent, to my internship with a veterinarian, to the foal and calves I've helped deliver, to the cows I milked and tended to on a dairy farm I've had extensive experience with all kinds of animals. I have experience and work with reactive and bite rescue dogs!
First a little about my experience. I interned at a veterinarian clinic where I participated in the regular care of a wide variety of pets. Cats and dogs were typical but I also cared for horses, ferrets, birds, you name it. During this time I observed surgeries, assisted in exams, administered meds, and even took part in on site first aid in a few cases. In highschool I also worked on a dairy farm and helped care for the animals there. In my home I have always had a dog as a companion.
In our home pets are family. We prefer rescue animals and the aim of our care is to treat our pets like the kings and queens they are. My dog Kona was with us from a puppy well into old age. I have extensive experience with puppies and geriatric dogs. I used a harness to "walk" for Kona when she could no longer stand on her hind legs. My current dog is a bite rescue. He is a wonderful dog who was dealt a bad hand. We are proud dog parents who are happy to give him another lease at life.
I am an animal lover through and through. I will strive to treat your pet like my own family and shower them with the love and attention they deserve.
